Employment Ontario Services (EOS) accessible to all permanent residents of Canada, specialized in serving immigrant women
Investing in Women’s Futures Helping immigrant & visible minority women towards economic self-sufficiency through industrial sewing training, computer training and employment readiness training.
Healthy Lifestyles Program Working toward women’s personal development and enriching families and communities. Welcomes women from different countries for discussions on life in Canada, parenting, community resources, making connections, nutrition, school issues, getting job ready…and much more. A caring environment to make new friends and share ideas. (Free, Drop-in, childcare provided at various community centres throughout Kitchener-Waterloo).
Immigrant Women & Voice Strengthening women’s communication and leadership skills for community involvement through in-class workshops and a volunteer placement in a community organization related to your interests.
Immigrant Women and Voice Youth is an empowerment and leadership workshop series for high-school attending female students. This program currently runs at Forest Heights Collegiate Institute, Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute, Waterloo Collegiate Institute and Eastwood Collegiate Institute.
The Colour of My Lenses is a Youth Opportunities Program for young immigrant women ages 16-24 who are NOT attending school. This program will teach digital media skills, employment readiness, and pair youth with mentors.
