The KWCF GRANT
Focus for Ethnic Women is pleased to announce that we were once again successful in acquiring a grant of $15,000 from Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation (KWCF) for our ‘Focus on New Beginnings’ program. Our program welcomes and assists Government assisted Refugees, by introducing them to Canada and it’s culture and the community that will become their home. We use an inclusive approach that promotes inter-cultural respect and understanding. Indoor and outdoor activities are incorporated for women and their families to familiarize them with their new home and the basic life skills needed for their new life in Canada.
