Connecting with the Police
The Connections Initiative is a partnership program with the Waterloo Region Police Service. The initiative is designed to build trust between the Waterloo Regional Police Service and members of the region’s diverse communities. In this program, Focus For Ethnic Women matched a group of diverse females with female police partners. Each week the participants would meet with their police partner to talk and connect.
We celebrated the newly formed friendships with a nice get together dinner at the park, where all participants got to meet with their police partners in uniforms.
It was a joyful day!
